I work with small businesses, organizations and sports associations providing digital design and technical services, training and ongoing support.
I create design systems; the code, the colours, the layout, the fonts, visual elements and the thinking behind it. Branding, beliefs, shared goals and teamwork is the very stuff that goes into defining identity and I help facilitate that.
A former radio broadcaster turned web developer, I started doing this while hosting a morning show some two decades ago. In that time I have seen a lot of change, that's the nature of technology, but the one constant is the importance of the message. Of anticipating wants and needs, and making an emotional connection while presenting the product or service. That's the magic in the marketing; the words and pictures we put in front of your visitor and customer.
In radio it was "know your listener". Pretty much the same thing here. I help teams get the right message to the right people through accessible, relevant web sites that work everywhere.
If you think I'd be a good fit for your project or care to discuss in detail please holler. I'd love to hear about what you do!
Collaborative work with like-minded pros would also be enthusiastically considered.
We recently did a freshening of the Nelson Minor Hockey website with a new design system and a mobile-first approach. It incorporates G Suite for document delivery including tournament schedules with game results provided in real time during tournaments.
